Postdoctoral and Non Tenure-Track Positions at Beijing Normal University

A number of positions are available for recent Ph.D recipients at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Beijing Normal University, China. There might be some special rules and restrictions for applicants who are non-Chinese citizens. In this case, university policy will be followed in the hiring process.

      1. Two-year Postdoctoral positions are available at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Beijing Normal University, China, starting September, 2012.

Special areas of research interests are harmonic analysis and related areas such as partial differential equations and geometric analysis. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive. There are special housing benefits for postdoctoral appointments. General guidelines for these positions are consistent with those rules made by the Postdoctoral Management Committee of China. There is no required teaching duty for these positions. There is a requirement that each appointee has to complete a two-year onsite stay.

      2. Three-year Assistant Professor positions  are available at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Beijing Normal University, China, starting September, 2012.

Special areas of research interests are harmonic analysis and related areas such as partial differential equations and geometric analysis. Salary and fringe benefits are very competitive. There is a regular teaching duty similar to those for regular faculty. A candidate's successful completion of the three-year appointment can possibly lead to a further consideration of tenure-track positions.
