  • Hello All, You are invited to join Redtail (Steve Doxzen) and I (Michael Quitt) at the first Mid-Atlantic Hammock Hangers Association group hang which will take place on the weekend of October 5-7 at the shelter at Crampton Gap on the AT. • Well, I never made it to Trail Days. Turns out I thought I was driving to Damascus, MD...not Damascus, VA and didn't have the time. Hope everyone had a great time!! I found a site that had a pic of Ed Speer and his wife side by side in two hammocks under a large tarp. Thinking that my significant other will be more inclined to go out on the trail with me if she can sleep close to...

  • Of course, after buying a new Big Agnes sleeping bag and one of their insulated air mattresses, I discover hammocks...and, at least in print, so far, make so much sense. So, has anyone used an air mattress in a hammock? Should I opt for one of Big Agnes's closed cell pads? Ed...I want to meet you in Damascus this weekend. I have to drive from Baltimore to Gettysburg Saturday...
