bear... i was running out of time & couldn`t find where you told
what kind of rings you used for the adjustible hammock straps, but
when i went to the local outfitters to buy 1" webbing, he felt sure
key rings would work. they snaped under hand presure(pushing down on
the hammock). so i just used the back & forth around the tree &
hammock strap method that you or rick or somebody had demonstrated &
it worked fine. i still want to have that easy adjustability so i went
by the hard ware store & bought 4 rings,1&1/2"(welded) said to often
be used w/ dog collers. i tied a short pice of webbing around them,
then to hammock rope. one end of hammock worked fine but other end
slipped. it seems that if the webbing isn`t tyed tight enough around
the two rings, they will seperrate a little on the other side (where
the other pice of webbing threads though)& alow sliping. did you have
this problem & did you just have to retye more tightly?
      thanks ...slowhike
