The Yaesu ft-857-d does not work with regard to cw when
controlled or keyed via the cat comport line.
To make it work, you will have to provide another com port
with an NPN transistor as a keying/inverting agent.
Then, you go into dm780 and tell it the com port number and
the keying pin, namely, RTS or DTR.
Like the other guy said, you should hear the relay chatter
when cw is being sent.
