      Frank states,

".....that the author of Proto-Thomas liked to utilize GMark by writing parallels
to GMark passages in triplets of opposite order. To indicate his awareness
of this, the author of GMatthew deliberately created the eight triplets
(thereby acknowledging his knowledge of how the author of Proto-Thomas liked
to utilize sayings from GMark in triplet sequences) and put four of them in
opposite order to that of the corresponding Proto-Thomas logia (thereby
acknowledging his knowledge of how the author of Proto-Thomas liked to run
      his triplets in opposite order)."

What do you think this is symbolic of? Could it be ascending and descending logia are used to symbolize the GPhil's idea of breath to spirit?
