      To all-

I've made a number of changes to my website recently. The most recent (this
morning) was to replace my old original page-by-page presentation (which was
really a half-page-by-half-page presentation, as some may know) with a true
page-by-page pdf file. A couple of weeks before the SBL meeting in Toronto
last Thanksgiving, I put a version of this file on my website, but didn't
link it with any of my pages. I've now replaced that version of the file
with a significantly-improved (but still far from "professional grade")
version that I had printed to hand out to a few folks at the SBL meeting.
This latest version - dated 11/22/02 - has now been linked, as I say, in
place of the old half-page thingy. I would urge everyone to print out this
20-page document and keep it for reference purposes (please let me know if
you have any trouble doing so). I perceive this presentation to stand
somewhat half-way between facsimiles of the original text, and an English
translation, and, as such, of significant value to the non-specialist in
looking backward toward the Coptic and forward to the English. In addition,
it provides the textual context that the saying-by-saying presentation
lacks. The one focuses on individual "trees", while the other gives an
overall view of "the forest", so to speak.

In other news, list member Adaire Faldmo has provided an image of the cover
of the original Grenfell-Hunt "New Sayings" book. I've uploaded this to the
