Here are details about the forthcoming talk by Alastair Humphreys.

Come and hear National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year for 2012, Alastair Humphreys, talk about his amazing exploits across the globe.
Alastair spent over 4 years cycling around the world, a journey of 46,000 miles through 60 countries and 5 continents. More recently Alastair has walked across southern India and rowed across the Atlantic Ocean; run 6 marathons through the Sahara desert; completed a crossing of Iceland ; and participated in an expedition in the Arctic close to the magnetic North Pole. He is currently training for a return journey to the South Pole.
An in-demand motivational speaker and author of five books, Alastair will be recounting his incredible journeys and conveying his passion for adventure for the benefit of Sustrans. This is a real treat for those who can make it!

Thursday 11th October 2012 at The Gallery, 70 Cowcross St , London EC1M 6EJ (near to Farringdon tube station).
Doors open 6 p.m. Talk starts 6.30 p.m. Refreshments available.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Sustrans.
