Fw: Update re North Greenwich Station CycleRacks

I met Delroy Douglas and Keith Davies of London Buses on site to discuss cycle parking. Additional stands can be provided extending down the hill alongside the car park fence towards the cycle track and bus stop. I plan to use a Sheffield type stand which will allow owners to lock both wheels and frame to the stand. The existing stands are not so suitable in my mind. The CCTV coverage is to be extended and they will look into putting a camera looking along the line of cycle stands. I did suggest a number of different locations for additional parking but these were rejected due to escape route clearance problems and in the southern half of the station, due to security considerations.
I mentioned that in the meantime bikes would need to be chained to the railings. Whilst I do not recall getting a definite answer, they did tell me that bikes were not removed despite the signs.
I now need to formally write to Delroy who has already informally cleared it with all the other interested parties.
