Here's a fast pre-bike week sandwich with a fascinating slower filling
      and train option.

      ************************
Saturday 4 June: Meet 9am Cutty Sark Gardens, Greenwich for a quickish
25 miles to Gravesend and coffee at the seaside cafe there. Then a
gentle 20 mile explore starting with the lovely Shorne Marshes, lunch on
the lonely Hoo peninsula and quick look at the Northwood Hill heronry,
the UK's biggest with about 150 now-nesting pairs. Then quick ride back
to London. Around 75 miles in all and a good long day in the lightness
that we'll put to bed in a pub. Train option: get the train there or
back or both or neither...the Charing Cross (9.52am) train, Waterloo
East (9.54am), London Bridge (9.59) and Greenwich (10.07am) gets to
Gravesend at 10.44am. I'll meet that train and muster all at that cafe.
