Subject: Olympics Legacy Cycle Route and proposed Toucan Crossing on Norman Road
I attach for your information a plan showing the proposed “Greenwich Station – Deptford Cycle Route” which obtained Olympics Legacy funding in 2009.
The scheme has been developed in liaison with L B Lewisham and has to be implemented by March 2014. The works in Greenwich substantially comprise a new toucan crossing on Norman Road (details attached) to link the access road to the new development, “The Movement” with the path over Ha’penny Hatch Bridge. This will provide safe cycle/pedestrian linkage between the Station and all points west of Deptford Creek, avoiding the major road network.
I would be grateful to receive any observations you might have on these plans. Please contact me if you have any queries.
