      Hello Green travellers

Big story this week is the Caribbean under threat - from climate change
which will make it less attractive to tourists and actually horrible for
local residents AND from extractive tourism such as mass-market cruises and
all-inclusives sucking the life-blood out of local tourism

But they are fighting back - with potential green certification schemes, and
the call for the destinations and communities to take tourism in hand. Watch
this space, or it may be space, not land!

All over the world our heritage is in danger from climate change and
insensitive, irresponsible and unsustainable tourism and it doesn't need to
      be like that.

Another Ministers Briefing is out and another masterclass announced for 7
November - it's good to read the year's news and to talk about
      opportunities.

I heartily recommend our website http://www.totemtourism.com interviews,
stories, offers - worthwhile or they wouldn't be there!
