      Plotting data from your GPS to a laptop map is easy. Just get a copy
      of Delorme 3DTopoQuads software to plot either real-time or track-
      history data on a detailed topographic map.

      On the other hand, making a map on your laptop, and uploading it to
      the GPS is significantly more complex:

      If you only want to upload a route to the GPS, that is fairly easy
      too. Most map programs can do that. My favorite software is Delorme
      StreetAtlas for this task.
