      NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:



      The Region III Board of the California Association of Community
      Colleges and the Student Senate for the California Community Colleges
      will meet as follows. The start time for all meetings is approximate.
      Public testimony will be invited in conjunction with any discussion
      for any item on the agenda, in addition to a time for Open Forum.
      Region III meetings are held in locations that are wheelchair
      accessible.

      A - Call to Order

      1. Minutes from the May 13, 2005 meeting held at Merritt College
      D - Adoption of the Agenda
      Only changes in the order of the agenda or removal of items from the
      agenda are allowed



      E - Open Forum
      This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Region
      III Board. If time is limited, a time limit of five (5) minutes per
      speaker and fifteen (15) minutes per topic shall be enforced.


      F - Advisor Reports
      Advisors –Steve Robison (from San Mateo) and Skip Fotch (from San
      Francisco)


      G - Executive Reports

      Chairperson – Rashad Andrews (from Merritt)
      Vice-Chairperson – Austin Smith (from Marin)
      Secretary – Stacey Ryan (from Merritt)
      Treasurer – Julio Martinez (from Marin)
      Policy Board Representative – Franklin Reece (from Merritt)


      H - College Reports

      It is requested that these be typed or hand written to be given to
      the secretary at the meeting, in digital format if possible. Schools
      not in attendance may submit a report in advance of the meeting to
      the Chair or Secretary who will present the college report on their
      behalf.




      I – Unfinished Business - The CalSACC Region 3 Board may discuss and
      take action on the following items held over from a previous meeting:


      None at this time



      J – New Business - The CalSACC Board may discuss and take action on
      the following new items:



      1. Open Nominations for the Vice Chairperson vacancy with an election
      to take place at the next regular meeting.



      2. Determine the dates and locations/sponsors of all regional
      meetings for the 05-06 year

      Note that unless otherwise decided, meetings are held on the 1st
      Friday of every month at 2:00 p.m.,

      preceded by a reception/luncheon provided by the host college from 1
      p.m-2 p.m.



      K -Discussion Items

      These items are for information and discussion only, not requiring
      action:
      1. Review Region III Governing Documents


      2. Brainstorm and review possible goals for the 05-06 year



      3. Discuss the Future of CalSACC/State Student Senate in light of the
      State Chancellor's opinion that CalSACC does not adequately represent
      community college students, and the State Chancellor's subsequent
      rescinding of the Memo of Understanding (MOU) between his office and
      CalSACC, recognizing CalSACC as the representative student voice in
      shared governance and consultation at the state level

      4. Presidential Summit October 7 & 8, 2005 – Los Angeles

      5. CCCSAA Leadership Conference – October 21-23, 2005 – San Jose –
      Double Tree

      L - Open Forum – Final Announcements and Hearing of the Public
      This time is reserved for members of the board or the public to
      address the Region III Board. A limit of five (5) minutes per speaker
      and fifteen (15) minutes per topic shall be enforced.
