- As far as anyone knows, most of the Latin words reflect trade and/or
warfare with the Romans, while most of the Greek words are
ecclesiastical, so that the Latin ones are probably pre-Wulfilan
borrowings in common use, while the Greek ones are largely Wulfilan
(or other church-related) borrowings.
IIRC, the Gothic bible uses Greek terminology for church elders while
some other sources use Latin terminology.
