      Second Gothic War 235-237 AD

In 235 AD the Goths cross the Danube and attack the border
provinces. It is an attack from two sides: the Middle Danube and through
a Gothic fleet on the Black Sea where Olbia and Tyras are taken
by storm. In 236 AD a Gothic-Erulic fleet attacks as far east as Trabezond
while the allied Carpi, Bastarnae und Vandals cross the Lower Danube.
The Vandals are led by King Argaith. The Roman legions under Emperor
Maximinus I have great trouble stemming the tide but a peace is achieved
with Ostrogota in 237 AD to last ten years.

      Gothically
