Dean stars as Anders Johnson in the new hit series The Almighty Johnsons, now showing on New Zealand TV3 on Mondays at 9:30pm. Episode 8, I Can Give You Frigg airs Monday, 28 March. The arrival on the scene of a singing butcher causes a shift in celestial power as the Gods and Goddesses work to get on the right side of the equation.

Anders and his three brothers are the distant descendants of Norse gods. The series explores how they use the special powers they inherited, quite diluted by time, while trying like any other blokes to fit into normal 21st century New Zealand life. And to avoid the Norse goddesses who want to stop them from fulfilling a divine quest for true love.

Anders Johnson is Bragi, the god of poetry. No one can resist his gift of gab, as long as they are not as smart as he is, anyway. His power is very helpful in his PR business, but maybe not so much with women.
