    Emad, What you need to do is create a large area surrounding all of your polygons and your data, then add the polygons as islands to that large area, then crop

      What you need to do is create a large area surrounding all of your polygons
      and your data, then add the polygons as islands to that large area, then
      crop to that large area that now has holes for the polygons. Then you should
      only get the data outside those polygons and inside your larger area.

      Mike,

      I have the grid file for subsurface layer overlapping with some polygons
      (shape file) and would like to have new grid file with no data inside
      the polygons , I have tried select this polygons and use it as Crop to
      selected area features but it give me grid inside not outside the
      selected polygon , how can I do this .
