Mission Two: On Board the Cruise Ship

"Okay, this cabin is TO DIE FOR!" Karla crowed as she bounced from
room to room in the cabin they were going to be sharing on the
cruise. It was a stately room with two double beds and two dressers.
There was an outside room with a two-person dining table, a small
frigerator, a couple of chairs and a flat screen tv on the wall.
"I wonder what kind of reception they get on this boat?" Roberts
asked as she flicked on the television. After a 12 flips the channels
started to repeat themselves. "Hmm, closed circuit tv."
"What?" Karla said as she took the remote and repeated what Roberts
had done while the Marine Lt. Colonel casually searched the cabin for
listening devices or cameras. "Oh, only movie channels, and an
Roberts headed over to where her best friend was standing. The half-
Japanese woman with the dyed blonde hair smiled back at her. "So, you
gonna see Mr. Hunky while you're on board?" she askes Roberts.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah, oh yeah. Sure," Roberts answered absently as she
moved towards the television to check the back of the wood
paneling. "We already have plans to job together tomorrow morning."
"Tomorrow morning?" Karla said disappointed. "What about tonight?"
"What?" Roberts said turning to face Karla fully. "I thought we had
tickets to see that comedian tonight. You know, the funny one."
"All comedians are funny," Karla said with a roll of her dark eyes
Roberts narrowed her eyes in response. "Carrot Top."
"Okay, so not ALL comedians are funny, but...wait, wait, you're
changing the subject."
"Yes, I am," Roberts said as she moved back into the other room to
check it. "I'm jogging tomorrow, and that's enough for now."
- Who: Ripley & Paul Ringo
Location: Cruise Ship
Time: 12:05 pm
"And this is Captain Morris Elliot and his lovely wife Grace, she's the
cruise director," introduced Paul Ringo.
Ripley extended a hand and shook both the captain's and his wife's
hands. "It's nice to meet you both," she said quickly.
Paul had brought her onto the ship an hour ago to take a tour with the
assistant cruise director. They had visited the casino deck, the deck
with the Galley and ball room, the top deck with its two pools (one
heated) and the gym and running track.
There were also games to be played on that deck, but by far the deck
that most impressed her was the deck with the full bowling alley and
the dance club, but there was also the deck with the fully operationaly
shopping mall and movie theatre with current release movies. The
entertainment deck boasted a comedy club and a theatre for shows.
Now they were up in the upper most part of the ship, visiting with the
crew. Though Paul was doing exactly what Ripley had asked him to do,
introduce her around enough so that everyone would associate them as
lovers, she felt somewhat awkward with Paul after the previous night's
It also didn't help that a large part of her wanted to seek out Jake,
find him and wrap her arms around him. Talk about what had happened
between then the previous night and explain things til they made sense
to not just him but herself.
"Morry and I have know one another forever," Paul said his arm around
RIpley's shoulders. She leaned into him and made the motion seem
"I can't wait to hear Paul stories," Ripley said with a small laugh
that was all show.
"Well, you've got a standing appointment at the captain's table," said
Ellliot. "Believe me, we'll trade stories."
Then Elliot excused himself as his executive officer arrived on the
scene with crew manifests. Grace Elliot took over, stepping right into
her husband's empty space.
"Let me introduce you to the doctor," Grace said as she gestured to the
tall, bald man behind her. "Dr. Gregory Nyce, and this is our..."
Ripley only barely paid attention. She nodded and shook hands, trying
to keep the names straight. All the while her thoughts were fuzzy as
she desparately tried to remember the previous evening, the margarita-
"Paul, I think I need to get back to my cabin and refreshen up," Ripley
said interrupting the conversation with Dr. Nyce about the recent
cruise ship illnesses. "I want to get some unpacking done before we get
underway. I also want to get my dress for tonight steamed."
"Oh of course," Paul said leaning over and kissing her on the
cheek. "I'll stop by later."
Ripley nodded, not knowing how to take that. She said her good-byes and
practically fled from the upper desks, taking the stairs and not
waiting for the elevator that they had taken before.
OOC: My earlier Roberts post had them still at the hotel, when I meant
to put them on the cruise ship. But the time is right, they arrived an
hour before this post took place. However, Ripley's post sets the
correct time. So adjust for this time. Thanks guys!

After a moment of meditating, Jon stood up and walked to the closet,
changing his cloths for his morning workout; changing into shorts and
a white, loose shirt.
Going outside, Jon locked his cabin door and went down the corridor,
taking the stairs to the third floor, then walking up another set of
steps to the outside on the deck, where he had never seen the like;
half naked women and men walzing around like their shit didn't stink.
"Fake... fake... fa... no, real" Jon thought as he made his way over
to the bench press, loading the bar with 300 lbs of weights, then
getting under, lying down, and putting his hands on the bar, and
lifted it, bringing it down slowly, then lifting it again.
- Who: Ripley, Roberts, Karla Kringle & Nyah Regina
Location: Caribbean Cruise Ship - the Contessa
Time: 12:15 pm
"I'm dead on my feet," said Roberts as she leaned back on the couch
where she and Karla had been mindlessly munching on snacks and
watching "Cruise Cable" as they started calling it. "I've seen the Da
Vinci code like 11 times already."
Roberts stood up and sauntered off towards the bedroom. "I'm down til
we got out this evening," she announced to Karla.
"Sure," said the half-Japanese woman as she watched her best friend
and fellow teacher go inside. A moment later she heard Roberts' body
falling soundly on one of the twin beds.
Karla laughed and continued watching tv until even she couldn't stand
it. She turned off the boob tube and got to her feet. Checking to see
Roberts passed out, Karla decided to go for a walk about the ship, and
see what's what.
As Karla was leaving her cabin, she noticed a woman was just arriving.
"Hey," she said to her. The woman, whose skin was kissed by the sun,
had dark hair and a pretty face. Her body was killer and Karla
instantly hated her, even as she walked confidantly down the corridor
in her red stilleto heels.
The woman walked right past her without speaking, and besides noticing
how incredibly rude she was, Karla also noticed she was about 3 inches
taller than Karla's 5'7" height. Karla shrugged and continued on
putting the rude island woman out of her mind.
Nyah watched the woman go and sighed her relief. She had so far
slipped onto the cruise ship not truly seen by anyone. But the
striking blonde Asian woman had noticed her, looked right into her
dark brown eyes and took notice.
Nyah eased her hand off the .45 that was tucked into her purse, which
she had been walking with open so she could grab it at the last
minute. Quietly she continued down the hallway towards the cabin she
had been assigned. She didn't have any bags, because she had ordered
them to be brought up hours ago, as soon as the ship docked at port.
Meanwhile at the elevator, Karla waited for the lift to take her to
the Sundeck so she could look out onto all Kingston. Karla was looking
forward to trying the Casino deck and even some bowling, which she had
never done on a boat before.
As she was daydreaming about the hunky men she would encounter, the
elevator doors open. When she didn't immediately stepped inside,
someone cleared their throat at her.
Karla blinked out of it and stepped inside. "Sorry," she apologize to
the blonde lady standing there before stepping inside.
"No problem," said Ripley as she sighed. She was eager to get back to
her cabin and just sit down. Her head was pounding and she felt like
she needed two weeks of detox.
Ripley was so out of it, when she first stepped into the lift, she had
forgotten to get off on her own floor and went down 5 decks too many,
now she was making her way back up.
When her deck came up, she stepped off this time, bid adieu to her
fellow passenger and crawled to her own cabin. As soon as she was
inside, she found her bed and made a dent in it.
