and I think that last secret of Dr Dim is going to finally make Krosp a character worth respecting, because up to now, he has been just a frivilous joke compared to all the other features of the comic. I so look forward to that.

And Alex, - exceptional work there - I had no recollection of Dr Dimitri's bear connection at all until just then.

Could that have been the real reason that Krosp was scheduled to be terminated rather than for failing at the recruiting cats?  Might that also mean that a scheming Mart' had the Dr's location get told to the baron so that he could have access to the bears?

                                        Actually, it's Wulfenbach.

Which reminds me of another question: Is the person about to show up called Volkerstorfer or Wolkerstorfer? It seems that Martellus and Oömfumf don't agree on the spelling. No question that he is arriving at a good time, though.

I think they need an experienced editor.  While I am too busy with my current writing project (my fourth novel) I am sure Hovart would like to fly over and help out.  Seriously, though, maybe we could volunteer as pre-print editors.  Everybody in this list reads the online strip and tears the script into little pieces during the course of our discussions.  We could provide a valuable (free) service for the Professors.

So Dr. Dim's bears are a Chekhov's gun, and the leader is named after the actor who played (a different) Chekhov, a character who had a certain amount of hubris (not unlike certain mad scientists we know).
