      Hi List,

I wonder if there is someone out there who could look at these 2 items
and help me figure out what they say. Or if you could point me to
      someone who can help.

I found them on the back of 2 photos which were in an album.

I put them up on Geocities so I wouldn't have to attach them to email.
They load a bit slowly and I would appreciate any help you can give
me. I do not know German, except for a few words, and I definately
      don't know German script.

      Thank you so very much.

        Hi Jan,

the 2nd one is easier to read, though some parts to the left seem to be
        missing.

Let me try in German, my English is too poor to tell and I am not sure about
        some words.

        That´s what I can resume:
Someone (Florentynos?) thanks for receiving some cloth and wishes merry
christmas and a happy new year. I suppose the backside of the card is
showing the dress made from the cloth delivered.

Is there a bot elder on the photo?
