If  you get an email that appears to be from Amazon.com saying your recent order can't be shipped, it may be a scam.

AARP Pennsylvania warned of the scam this morning. It is a credible-looking email that claims there was a problem processing your purchase and warning that you won't be able to access your account or place future orders until you confirm your information.

A "click here" link leads to an authentic-looking Amazon web page that asks you to enter your name, address and credit card information. After you enter the information and click on a "save and continue" button, you are redirected to Amazon's actual website, AARP Pennsylvania says.

Don't click on the link in the email, or in similar emails that appear to be from other retailers. If you placed an order and are concerned there is a problem, contact the retailer directly through its website or by phone. Don't do it through any links, buttons or phone numbers in the email.
