report showing the links between a single ancestor and a single descendant.

This was produced as a text file that could be imported into an e-mail or or
      news message.

Legacy does a similar report, but it has graphics and fancy formatting, and
can only be exported as a graphics file.

Is there any way of producing a text report in Legacy, other than printing it
out and then retyping it all?

Are there any other programs that can produce such reports?

Or will I have to reinstall Brothers Keeper 5 and GEDCOM my data across?

One solution is to install the Generic-Text only printer driver and
        select FILE: as the port.

After you "print" the report to this printer, you will be promted for
the file location/name. When done, you can edit the file, or copy and
paste the text to something else. Adjusting your report parameters will
        reduce the amount of editing.

Someone on the newsgroup gave me the answer -- use the relationship
calculator (which doesn't appear in the reports menu, but under Tools, I
think). It has the option of text output, which can then be edited in a word
            processor.
