      Bill,

The Greene Co. Cemetery book that I have (Mary Virginia Kilpatrick's book) lists a Shackleford Cemetery with inscriptions for

      Verna Lee Shackleford, wife of W. C. Evins, Jan. 13, 1894-Apr. 26, 1924
      and
      Jesse Alton Evins, son of V.L. andW. C. Evins, Mar. 12, 1922-Sept. 7, 1924

It is located on rural road 1302 about halfway between roads 1317 and 1301 in Greene Co.

Also listed are other Shacklefords, and Shirleys, a Nethercutte, and a Tugwell.

It's only one page. If you like I'll scan it and send it to you. There are also two other Shackleford cemeteries in the index if yo need copies of those too.

Can anyone tell me where the old Shackelford cemetery
is located. It is suppose to be where Will and Ella Shirley
once lived. Verna shackelford, w/o W. S. Evans is buried
there. I found them on the 1920 Greene census in the
Stantonsburg district. Feel they are buried in that area.

A lady contacted me about the site. She thought it was in
Pitt County. She checked the Greene site. She is
      looking directions to it.

      Appreciate your help.

      Bill
