      HI,
Just ran across this deed.......... and it finally hit me like a ton of bricks....the name Real/Rial must be a short form of Isreal. DUH! Anyway hope this helps.

Isreal and Simon EDWARDS to David Averitt [Everitt]..... Pitt County Deed Book H Page 160......12th April 1780 ....no number of acres stated in deed....30 pounds proclamation money....land lying in Pitt County on the north side of the Tar River and the west Side of Coneto Creek....beginning at a red oak THOMAS LITTLE's corner tree on the creek.............then with LITTLE's line S72W214 poles to a white oak on the river...........
then down the river S20E320 poles to a white oak on the river at the mouth of the aforesaid creek...........then up the creek to the 1st station................Isreal and Simon both signed with 'their mark'................Witnesses: David Averitt and Timothy X RILLY
[could this possibly be Briley?] Recorded in October Court 1781.

Having trouble figuring out where this land is ....but think it must be near Penny Hill. That is where Coneto Creek joins the Tar River. I know the Averitt/Everitts owned land in the lower Coneto area of Edgecombe and also along Coneto Creek between Penny Hill and Conetoe.
