Pugh CANNON (1761 Craven Co., NC – AFT 1840 McNairy Co., TN) is the
acknowledged son of Lewis & Sarah CANNON. On 2 separate occasions, Pugh
filed for a Revolutionary Pension; filed first in Maury Co., TN dated 28 Jul
1823; filed second in McNairy Co., dated 23 Dec 1833. Pugh proved his
service and was approved for a pension.

In his filings, he stated that he first joined the service in 1777 at
Wilmington, NC and served under Captain Henry CANNON.

Does anyone know who this Henry CANNON was?

      Thanks
      J. R.
