** Call for Papers **
The PPSN 2014 Program Committee invites the authors to submit papers describing high-quality work in Natural Computing. Papers need to be submitted by March 17, 2014. Detailed submission instructions are available at http://ppsn2014.ijs.si/?show=submission.
PPSN 2014 will be a showcase of a wide range of topics in Natural Computing including, but not restricted to: Evolutionary Computation, Neural Computation, Molecular Computation, Quantum Computation, Artificial Life, Swarm Intelligence, Artificial Ant Systems, Artificial Immune Systems, Self-Organizing Systems, Emergent Behavior, and Applications to Real-World Problems.
All accepted papers will be presented during poster sessions. Each session will contain papers from a wide variety of topics, and will begin by a plenary quick overview of all papers in that session by a distinguished researcher in the field. Following the tradition of PPSN, we plan to publish the proceedings in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series by Springer.
** Call for Tutorials **
The PPSN 2014 Organizing Committee invites proposals for tutorials. Proposals are due November 18, 2013. The tutorial topic should enjoy broad interest within the community. It can be an established or emerging research topic within the field itself, but also from a related research field or about an interesting application area. The proposed topic should be broad enough to provide a gentle introduction to the research area, but it should also cover the most important contributions in depth. The planned duration of the tutorials is two hours. Attendance at the tutorials will be free of charge for all PPSN 2014 attendees. For detailed information, see http://ppsn2014.ijs.si/?show=cft.
** Call for Workshops **
The PPSN 2014 Organizing Committee invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with PPSN 2014. Proposals are due November 18, 2013. The workshops are intended to be forums for presenting and discussing new approaches, visions, or critical reflections within a subfield. They provide an excellent opportunity to meet people with similar interests, to be exposed to cutting-edge research and to exchange ideas in an informal setting. The organizers of an accepted workshop are responsible for its coordination, publicity, collecting and reviewing the papers/abstracts, and for maintaining a webpage providing a list of accepted talks. The workshops can be half day or a full day long. Attendance at the workshops will be free of charge for all PPSN 2014 attendees. For detailed information, see http://ppsn2014.ijs.si/?show=cfw.
