      Especially if you go to the NPRC (National Personnel Records Center) in MO.
      They had a fire there back in 1973 that destroyed a lot of army records.
      Since you don't have much else to go on it's really going to be like hunting for
      a needle in a hay stack situation.
      You really need a lot more info as to any unit he was with and specifics
      where he served.

      Not much help but somebody out there might have some better ideas of what to
      do!
