      1851 Dublin City Census

Origins Network is pleased to announce that the 1851 Dublin City
Census records have now been added to Irish Origins
      (www.irishorigins.com)

With the 19th Irish Census having been destroyed, this remaining
census of Ireland's capital city, Dublin, is of extreme importance to
researchers everywhere. Compiled by Dr D.A Chart, the index consists
of two hand written volumes, one for Dublin City South and one for
      Dublin City North.

Over 60,000 names and addresses of heads of household (including
occupations where present) are available for searching, accompanied
by scanned images of the original 1847 Ordnance Survey Town Plans of
Dublin City, to help users identify specific addresses.

      Best regards,

      Jane Hewitt
