I have been going thru entire census pages for several
counties in WV and it was getting very tedious so I
      decided to have some fun.

I went to the 1930 census for Hollywood just to see if
I recognized any names. I looked up names in only 3
districts (about 1/4 of what was available) and came
up with these names. See if you recognize any of
      them:

      Oliver Hardy
      Jean Harlow
      Ben Turpin
      Ernst Lubitsch
      Fredric March
      Lupe Valez
      Eddie Cantor
      Lionel Barrymore
      Wallace Berry
      Gloria Swanson
      Buster Keaton
      Charlie Chaplin
      Theda Bara
      Conrad Nagel

What was interesting is there would be a celebrity's
home worth, say $60,000 and next door would be a
contractor's home worth $1000. Definitely a mix of
      occupations!

Also, I saw about 60 names of employees in a hotel. I
wonder how that works out for the rest of their
families - do their censuses show the wife and
      children's names only, then?

I wonder that also, because I found my husbands grandmother on two census in 1930. In different city and county, but same state. Dee
