      I want to create one family tree for my website. I've downloaded three programs now but none satisfies me. I want to write name, occupation, birth and death date & location. Further I want to have it as easy as possible (only normal boxes, no pictures are needed) and I must be able to show siblings and half siblings to (Ages is a good program but it won't let me do that). Can anyone suggest me a free software or shareware (then I should be able to save it in order to put it on my homepage, but it can have a time limitation, as said I only need it once).

      Thanks,
      Angela

        Angela,
        I use Brothers Keeper and have found it easy to use and has the
        details you want. It is especially good for reports.
        It can be downloaded at www.bkwin.net

          Angela,

          There is better control over boxes and their contents using
          Microsoft Word or its various clones. You can also control the
          layout of the tree, moving the boxes around, which almost no
          genealogy matrix software will allow. If you become totally
          frustrated, I would gladly create one for you. My dad and I usually
          work on calligraphy trees with a real tree drawing, but I could
          easily put a computer tree together for you for the price of even
          the most inexpensive software.

          Please take a look at our revised website;
