      I use Find A Grave for lots of searches. Lots of
      times the memorial provides
      date of birth and death and obit. Many times I'll
      follow it up with a
      telephone call to the cemetery to check records.
      The staff is is usually
      very helpful if they have the time, particularly
      in smaller towns.

      There are a number of names 'Alvie White' listed
      in Find A Grave.com and all
      but one buried in southern cemeteries.

      I found someone by the name of Marvin McLeod at
      Find A Grave.com. The
      birthdate is unknown, however they have a death
      date. There is an obit so
      maybe you can determine from it. The url is;
      http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=mcleod&GSfn=m&GSbyrel=in&GSdyrel=in&GSst=27&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GSsr=1&GRid=25452688

      Good luck,
      Barb Chandler
