The Y-dna test does not test markers that have medical information.  They test what they call "junk" markers and those markers do not contain any medical information.  There are more detailed dna tests that will give you medical information but the regular Y-dna test does not.

Kel using someone's DNA is more personal then you might think.
With technology today they can determine if you might get Alzheimer's
or not among other things. That info can remain on a data base somewhere
to come back on you.If I did not what to know I wouldn't want someone
else having that option. Sounds a little paranoid but things are advancing
at a faster rate these days.My past and future could be written in my DNA.

I know how you feel as I am looking for a male to contribute his DNA for
the cause. I am not sure why anyone would refuse, what would be the reason
for them to refuse especially if someone else is paying for it? ...Kel
