Subject: [Genealogy Research Club] help inquiry
I am looking for half-siblings from my birth father's side.
I found my birth-parents names 2 years ago and have had a great (re)union with 2
full sisters and have spoken with 2 full brothers since then (all older). three
are nearby and one brother was kept by our birth mother who moved from Calif. to
Washington state and married a different man. I've got good family lineage info
from this brother in Washington for the mother's side of the family.
Since our birth mother and birth father never married each other as he was a
married fly-boy in the 60's, it sounds as if we have some 1/2 siblings on the
East Coast (Va, Tn, SC area if i recall correctly).
Our birth father's name was James Patrick Burke. Born in the Chicago area, I
think. He served at Travis Airforce Base in California as a lieutenant who was a
fighter pilot in the 60's (which is where he met our birth mother who was a
nurse stationed there at the time).
He died in the past 30 years or so, but i don't know where. I have no dob, dod,
or ss# for him, nor do i know the name of his wife. Anyone have any pointers as
to where to look?
