      a listing of quantrill's troops. John Jarrette about halfway down the
      list. says he survived the war and became an owner of a large sheep
      ranch in Arizona. It also says he was a brother-in-law of Cole Younger.

      This should be a clue as where to look in the census records after the
      Civil War ended in the mid-1860's.

      [note: the Younger brothers and the James brothers gangs were one at
      one point in time after the Civil War, before they went their separate
      ways]
