- Aug 17Two "Pyramid" birthdays to note here....Friday, August 16 = celebrity guest Anita Gillette, who was last seen with Wink Martindale at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards, turned 83 years young.Saturday, August 17 = television personality Bob Clayton, who was born on this day back then in 1922, was the first announcer on "Pyramid" when the show first began in March 1973. He would be employed with that series (and Bob Stewart Productions in general) in that role until his passing in 1979.
