South African Airways has announced an enhancement of its services
within Africa with a new service to Libreville, Gabon with effect
from September 19. The West African region has seen increased
interest from both recreational and business travellers.

"SAA will operate two flights per week using Airbus A319 aircraft and
will have direct connections to flights originating in Perth and
Sydney. SA086 will depart from Johannesburg at 17h00 on Wednesdays
and Saturdays and arrive in Libreville at 21h05 with SA087 returning
from Libreville at 09h20 and arriving in Johannesburg at 15h25 on
Thursdays and Sundays. Gabon is an important destination for us. The
country is attracting significant foreign interest as a result of its
oil reserves and there are strong and active trade and economic
relations with Gabon as a result."

To celebrate the new route, SAA is offering special fares between
Johannesburg and Libreville. These are available for purchase until
30 November 2007 with travel from 19 September to no later than 30
      November 2007.
