Generalized Governmental or Political Discussion is, in no way, On-Topic and will be censored if the moderators find the time and inclination. Governmental or Political Discussion is on-topic (and even encouraged) if the author of each post makes a clear effort to tie the topic in to the group focus of better vehicles and energy policies and such.
So, there is an important distinction here, as to which posts are on-topic, and while it is sometimes hard to delienate, we ask that group participants and moderators (including this author) make a good-faith effort to adhere to keeping things on-topic, keeping them tied-in to the general focus of the group discussion (safer, better, more efficient transportation technologies and societal policies which affect development of those technologies).
Moderation of this forum is not done by anyone full-time. Participants are encouraged to keep that firmly in mind, so as to take some individual responsibility for defining and staying on-topic and keeping the area somewhat clean of problems. Disagreement is fine. Inappropriate behaviour is at the judgment and discretion of a part-time moderator and may or may not result in exclusion from the group.
