      Amy's new living arrangement leads to unforeseen disruptions in
      several of her relationships and draws the unexpected attention of
      her California-dwelling brother in this emotionally tense episode.
      Vincent Gray (Dan Futterman), after learning that Amy (Amy Brenneman)
      no longer lives with Maxine (Tyne Daly), makes an impromptu trip to
      Hartford in the hope that his calming presence will remedy the
      situation. Nine-year-old Lauren is also upset over the move. In
      addition to threatening to run away, she makes her feelings known to
      her father, Michael, which gives rise to an unwanted confrontation
      for Amy. Meanwhile, Amy's romance with Barry (Chris Sarandon) takes a
      turn south.
