4th FullDome Festival in Jena, May 4-8, 2010 - Seventh Update
- In a week from now, on Friday May 7th, the FullDome Festival will see
several highlights: The IMERSA.org Public Forum is scheduled for 5 pm.
IMERSA stands for Immersive Media Entertainment, Research, Science & Art.
IMERSA founding Directors Dan Neafus and Ryan Wyatt will present an
overview of the organization and the updated IMERSA.org web site. A
discussion with the audience will follow, to explore ways that IMERSA can
support the international Digital Dome community.
At 8 pm the Students' Night will follow with 34 fresh fulldome clips.
Submissions come from Weimar Bauhaus University, Offenbach Academy of Art
and Design, Universities of Applied Sciences in Mainz and Kiel, Kassel
School of Art and Design, Tongji University Shanghai and University of New
After a break at least 15 professional fulldome clips and show trailers
will be shown on the 23 m dome of the Jena Zeiss-Planetarium. Hard drives
are still coming in with the latest dome masters and sound files.
A selection of the best entries will be screened again at the Festival Gala
on Saturday night, May 8th.
