I think we need an extensive *controlled contraction* of human race in order to seek environmental sustainability, which is what I am hoping Japan adopts rather than going down the route of immigration. Japan is far too heavily over populated and unsustainable at present (... and rather than "wealthy", it is in vast debt).
Ruthie, a genuine question, when you had your 4 children, did you consider the impact upon the environment they will have ... 4 homes, 4 cars, 4 washing machines, 4 families etc ... or were you only considering your own desires?
I appreciate that most of us were unconscious to those problems, and most of the developed world is deeply in denial (Mara) about them and so I am not attacking you personally.
