That must be very scenic! You are at quite an elevation. Will definitely get around to marking my plot(was waiting for my paperwork to be completed). Had no idea we were that close by :-)

Yes Malshej is very beautiful, especially in the rains.

Malshej is supposed to be very scenic. I am about 70 kms north of you, north of the upper Vaitarna reservoir. Here are the coordinates for wikimapia. Maybe you could also mark your place on it too.

      Hello Richa,

Thanks for your kind invitation.Would love to visit someday.

I am a wannabe natural farmer though in the medical profession( General surgeon) right now . I have been in the process of acquiring land about 95 km from my home in Mumbai. After a year 3 acres (riverside)have been transferred in my name and 6 acres(adjoining) more in the process.Unfortunately acquiring agricultural land in our state is a tedious and long drawn process. The  plan is to set up a natural farm based on the principles of Bhaskar Save and Fukuoka . The waiting is a bit frustrating but hopefully I can start soon.

                                                        Regards,

                                                            Yaj.

      Hi Yajnesh,

thank you for the link. There is a number there too. I will call them later today and have a chat.

The Himalayan Farm Project is unfortunately nowhere near the gorgeous giggly Alaknanada. We are in Kumaon near Jeolikot. I hope to have decent accommodation on it in the next 9 months -- so next time you will be welcome to come up there. It is certainly is a place that makes any non believer bow down in front of Mother Earth. Do come some day.

      Are you farming too??And where??

      Richa

      > We at the Himalayan Farm Project are heading South. It's pouring with rain up in the hills of the Uttarakhand , so we are using the hiatus head to go South to learn. Friends have put us in touch with Solitude Farm in Auroville. The farm there also follows Fukuoka's methods and we are hoping to observe, practice and learn from them and some of the other farms in region.
