      thank you for the telling us about the Barefoot Architect. I have a friend who will be coming from London to Delhi in August. I will ask him to get me a copy. Meanwhile we may be lucky. Someone who has worked on Lammas village may be coming over to spend some time with us. That would be great hands on learning for us. We have also found someone who worked with Didi Contractor, an architect who specialises in mud architecture. A lot of all this is just dreams and plans as most of it all depends on the money we have for the project.

        An easier alternative is to lay vertical and horizontal poles of bamboo /
        casuarina from basement to roof and tie them to form a skeleton structure
        and go ahead with earth ramming.
