      hello harish
i have found good success by burrying coars organic material
masanobu talked about it and planted the seed
sepp holzer has taken it to a new level with hugel kultur
dig a trench between your rows/beds and burry wood
i have started burrying charred logs from the slash piles of bad forest
      practice
i also save my charred wood bits from each fire
if you don't have much wood use coarse organic material
this holds lots of moisture in the drought time of year
the roots of the plants around the trench will find the moisture and survive
      the drought times
the amazonians would ad manure and bone (seaweed maybe) to build up their
      terra preta
in the spirit of masanobu use whatever is local and not trucked in
      blessings
