    > Hi Glenn,
    > The creek is starting to look really nice. We’re seeing a lot more native species establishing out there including black eyed susans, bergamot, blue vervain, joe pye weed, great St. Johns wort, Canada wild rye and others so we are making positive progress on both Phase I and Phase II. The spot spray we performed earlier this summer was quite effective on the thistles and curly dock as well but we will have to keep on them in order to maintain good control.
    > We have a spot spray, 2 mowings and an enhancement seeding left for the year on both sites. I am waiting to hear back on specific dates but I would anticipate the spot spray and one mowing (or likely another string lining) to happen before the end of this month. For the spot spray we will be targeting thistles, reed canary grass and crown vetch. The second mow would happen almost immediately before the enhancement seeding so we can ensure good seed to soil contact for that. That will take place in late October or November depending on the weather.
    > If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at any time. When I have a more specific time frame available I will be sure to let you know.
