TCI is a GREAT choice for first timers....It is a totally relaxed, carefree atmosphere where nudity is just a by-product of a fun, healthy environment. We have been there 6 times...last time we were there, we met a couple on their honeymoon from Washington state. Their first time out to the pool, he came out nude, she came out in a bikini. After sitting around the pool for awhile, she went into her room, and took her top off....the world did not end, the skies did not open and a finger did NOT come down from out of the sky, and nobody really paid any extra attention to her (other than her husband, who was grinning from ear to ear). After about an hour, she went into their room, and came out NUDE!! STARKERS!! NAKED!! UNCLOTHED!!! NOT EVEN A WATCH ON! AND AGAIN BELIEVE IT OR NOT, nobody cared!! There are not perverts there....there are not lurkers there, hiding behind the palm trees.....Jude is the only thing you have to worry about, and even he just wants you to throw his ball (jude is the on-premises dog). We used to go every 2 years, but my wife has made me promise to take her every year now. Tom and Mary Clare run a first class establishment!!! DO IT, don't think about it!
Oh, and the couple on their honeymoon???? She came out naked the next day! Not even a HINT of an earthquake!

Subject: [FriendsofTheTerraCottaInn] Never Socially Nude
My wife and I have never been nude socially. At this point in my life, I want to give it a try. During my research, I discovered the Terra Cotta Inn. Although we live on the east coast, I think the Terra Cotta Inn is a good place for first timers to go. We are planning a western vacation next year and I would like to consider a week's stay there.
Are there any tips that first timers should consider? We will probably be nervous, but I am ready to take the plunge.
Does anyone have any advice or be willing to share their experiences?
