KENTON, Ohio - A teenager accused of helping to steal a deer decoy that was
placed on a country road as a prank, causing a crash that seriously injured
two people, has been sentenced to serve 60 days in juvenile detention.

Despite a recommendation from a team of court professionals that Taylor
Rogers, 18, spend less time in juvenile detention, Judge Gary McKinley on
Wednesday handed down the same sentence given to three other teens charged
      in the prank.

Prosecutors have said Rogers was part of the group that stole the decoy from
a man's home last November and constructed a platform for it, though they
have said he left before the decoy was put in the road because he was ill.

Robert Roby, Jr., who tried to miss the deer and crashed his car, suffered
several broken bones and his passenger, Dustin Zachariah, has brain damage,
      authorities have said.

"I don't want you thinking that you're not as guilty. You are," Judge
McKinley told Rogers, who apologized in court. "If you hadn't gotten sick,
I'm convinced you would have been right up there with the other four boys."

Rogers and four others have pleaded no contest in Hardin County Common Pleas
Court to two counts of vehicular vandalism and charges of petty theft and
possession of criminal tools. Three of them - Dailyn Campbell, 16, Jesse
Howard, 17, and Joshua Lowe, 18 - are serving 60-day sentences in Logan
      County Juvenile Detention Center
