NH: Paul sentenced to year in jail for selling marijuana
      Source: Libertarian News Examiner

"Libertarian rights activist and marijuana legalization advocate Rich Paul was sentenced Friday to a year in jail for selling marijuana in Keene, New Hampshire. Judge John C. Kissinger imposed twelve months in the house of corrections for the sale of 'controlled drug marijuana' less 51 days credit for pretrial confinement and assessed fines and fees totaling $645. Paul was facing a maximum of 81 years in prison but because he didn't have a 'huge record' the judge decided that state prison wasn't appropriate in his case. Judge Kissinger also denied bail for Paul pending his appeal." (06/08/13)
