Group Description

This site is dedicated to those who have a specialized interest or are in need of weather data for forensic use. Anyone in the business of Forensics, Atmospheric Science, Engineering, search and recovery of a submerged body or similar forensic science.

Open to students, graduates, private and governmental sectors. This also includes Pathologists, Medical Examiners, Entomologists, Engineers, Insurance Claims, Lawyers (Defense and Prosecution), Law Enforcement, Scuba Divers, Underwater Archaeologsts, CSI, Botanists, Toxicologists, Construction. Anyone who needs weather data for legal or insurance cases. The board is closely moderated to insure the highest quality of information with no spamming. Bouncing members will be removed at first opportunity. For those who select "No e-mail", the system will automatically reset to "Daily Digest" as some information will be necessary to pass along according to time contraints.

A number of links and programs (including excel spreadsheets) have been added to assist those in accident reconstruction, black ice formation, various melting rates of salt, calcium chloride. Estimating time of death in humans (Pathology and Entomology) with a working practice in Toxicology as well as sunrise, sunset information. Information on the Daubert Challenge also available.

Material will be uploaded which may prove beneficial in a legal case. We welcome the advice of other practicing forensic professionals and would like to know how the forensic meteorologist could assist you better.

This group is designed to inform and assist in areas where the knowledge of a Certified Consulting Meteorologist would benefit them. If you need to hire a CCM, please feel free to contact the Board Moderator or contact them directly through the Database. If you have a question and not sure if weather may be a factor, please ask.
