          Thanks to everyone who mailed Christmas cards to me. I sent them along to Rita a week ago.

          I received a phone call from Rita this morning. She told me that she had been in Manchester last week and caught a cold, which has now become worse. She is sick, in bed.

          She was feeling guilty because her illness has so far prevented her from answering our Christmas cards, and she didn't want us to think that she had forgotten -- bless her heart.

          So she asked me to tell everyone who sent her a card that she appreciates every card, and that she will send (late) cards to everyone when she has recovered.

            I asked Rita if perhaps we were overloading her with Christmas cards. She replied, I am very happy to receive Christmas cards, it is not a problem at all.

              She also said, "Hope all is well with you, I know how busy you must be with your house move, [the photo of] your new house looks very nice. I was in Florida for five days, a friend of mine was celebrating his 90th birthday and he invited me to his party, it was really nice."

              "I got back last weekend and Aisha got a high fever and was really unwell so I have been looking after the children, she saw the Doctor and he diagnosed Atypical Pneumonia she is on a strong course of antibiotics and thankfully she is beginning to feel much better."

              "Thank you for sending the photographs from Terry and Keith, they bring back memories."

              "You asked me about [upcoming personal] appearances, I did a Q&A at the end of October, I will let you know when the next one is."
