- Where I work, the network administrators have disabled all the USB ports, optical drives, and diskette drives. I go to work and put the shackles on for eight hours a day. They have also disabled many useful web sites. I can't even download Oracle patches to do my job. But the pay is OK.Thanks,DanaDana, I had the same problem. I had uninstalled all Java versions, tried downloading the FSIndexing set-up file on 4 of our 5 home networked computers and continued to get the same error message. I finally got it to work tonight. I downloaded the set-up file to a jump drive at work and then dropped the file on my desktop at home. It installed perfectly. So you might want to download from another source beyond your home network and see if that helps.
